Walmart Drop Guide

Walmart is one of the most popular retailers for trading cards and collectibles. Many high-demand online releases use either a virtual queue or a drawing system, each with a different checkout process.
1. When Does Walmart Restock?
Walmart's most consistent scheduled restocks typically occur on Wednesdays, commonly known as Walmart Wednesday.
Typical Drop Windows:
- Day: Wednesday
- Virtual Queue: Around 9:00 PM Eastern
- Drawings: Often around 5:00 PM Eastern
- Drawing Duration: Commonly around 60 minutes
- Other Restocks: Possible throughout the week
These times are based on historical drops and may change without notice.
2. How Walmart's Virtual Queue Works
Walmart sometimes places high-demand products behind a virtual waiting room.
How to Participate:
- Open the product link when the drop goes live.
- If a queue is active, you'll enter the waiting room.
- Wait for Walmart to grant you access.
- Once admitted, add the product to your cart.
- Complete checkout before your purchasing window expires.
Important Information:
- Each queued product may have its own waiting room.
- Queue positions are generally based on when customers enter.
- Products can sell out before you reach checkout.
- Joining a queue does not reserve inventory.
- Opening the product page early does not guarantee priority.
3. How Walmart Drawings Work
Walmart also uses a drawing system, giving eligible customers an opportunity to purchase high-demand products without competing in a traditional checkout race.
Unlike queues, drawings randomly select eligible entries after registration closes.
How to Enter:
- Sign in to your Walmart account.
- Open the eligible product's drawing page.
- Select your shipping address and payment method.
- Choose your desired quantity within the allowed limit.
- Submit your drawing entry.
- Wait for Walmart to announce the results.
Important Drawing Rules:
- Entering is completely free.
- You can enter each drawing once.
- Entering early does not improve your selection odds.
- Entries cannot be edited or canceled after submission.
- If selected, Walmart automatically attempts to place your order.
- You are only charged if your order is successfully placed.
- Winning is not guaranteed.
4. Queue vs. Drawing: What's the Difference?
Virtual Queue:
- Typically begins around 9:00 PM Eastern on Wednesdays.
- Entry timing can affect your position.
- You must manually complete checkout.
- Inventory is not guaranteed.
Drawing:
- Recent drawings have commonly started around 5:00 PM Eastern.
- Eligible entries submitted before the deadline have a chance.
- Winners are randomly selected.
- Walmart automatically attempts checkout for selected customers.
Our Recommendation: Always participate in eligible drawings when you're interested in the product. Unlike queues, you don't need to be the fastest person to enter.
